The latest revision of the USB standard is in progress
USB has become a wonderful connection standard. The USB standard has been upgraded once already to give us USB 2.0. Now a new version, 3.0, is on the way.
USB 3.0 offers 10 times the transfer speed of USB 2.0 and significant power management savings. First devices are not likely till 2010.
With USB fast replacing FireWire for external drive connections, the extra speed will be most welcome.
