Photographing Kangaroos in Infrared

Yesterday I needed to get out for some emotional recovery time doing photography. So I spent the day till the weather closed in too much driving through the country around Gisborne and Romsey in Central Victoria.

I was shooting with a number of cameras, but, as always, had my infrared converted Canon 350D with me. One two occassions I came across mobs of kangaroos while I had my 100-400mm lens attached. The following three shots give you a taste for what I captured.

With the second mob the light was fading fast and I really only got the chance for two good shots of this roo standing still.

It actually made a great change from the landscape photography I had been doing.
