These entries caught the judges' eyes for a number of reasons.

I would like to submit a two photos I took and used the Corel Painter program to paint them. I am learning the program and mostly used the Oil and pastels to create with. One painting is of my Mother, I have used this photo to create a fabric art quilt as well because it is one of the few she let me take. The other is my daughter, Samantha, the photo was one that just did something for me and I had to paint her.

I called the "Millennium artist" and I had selected for my Millennium Show for Pygoya ,who had invited me at lastplace.com for the Millennium Year .
The first Painter program #5 was actually better for painting directly without too many restrictions on what brush one was using .
The black background was painted over with different colors and shapes with the wacom pen and the face was created in the process from no particular image I invented .
I was just creating a mirror image of the digital artist ,who is sitting in front of a screen to create new images with painting tools .If anyone thinks that painting directly with the computer is easier than the old fashion way ,they are mistaken .It takes even more skill to use the brushes and colors and draw and paint with ease . Manipulating photographic images and paint over or use a filter is has probably given that impression that digital art is clicking instead of painting .
