Results of the May Competition
The May Winner of the Corel Painter IX.5 software is Barbara Stitzer, of Scottsdale, AZ, USA with her entry 'Work in Progress, Twins Clo'

I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't really have a technique to share with you. I just add until it seems right, and then I stop.
Judges comments: 'Perfection itself is in a child, and this image captures that perfectly. A beautiful work'.
Barbara's website can be seen here.
Runners up were:
Mark Leeds, Cerritos, California, USA www.msleeds.com

Judges comments: 'Fantastic color'
These entries are created using Photoshop. I work with
layers to end up with a derived goal.
The first print is called"Cave Art". Studying Art
History in school gave me the feeling that this was
the beginning of mans journey into the arts. "Cave
Art",to me, respectfully represents "the beginnings".
also
The second print is called"LiftOff". In project
Spaceflight the launch is the most powerful step to
the stars.

Laurie Thompson, New Orleans, La, USA www.fauxtografix.com

Judges comments: 'A work with great subtlety and beauty.'
