Project Dogwaffle
'Organic Futures: The Future of Humanity and the Planet'
Digital Painting Competition
Running November2007 to February 29th 2008
We have a grand prize of Project Dogwaffle PD Pro 4. We also have a second prize of PD Pro 3.5. We have provided a long open period for this competition as you must use some version of Project Dogwaffle software (including the freeware version) to produce your digital painting to this theme. Please note that this software is Windows only.
So, how do I enter?
Read the general terms and conditions here.
Entries will be accepted in the months of November and December 2007, and January and February 2008 only. For this competition you MUST use some version of the Project Dogwaffle software, such as the freeware 1.2 version, www.thebest3d.com/dogwaffle/free, and provide your interpretation of the theme 'Organic Futures: The Future of Humanity and the Planet'. In the case of a dispute, the judges' decision on this matter is final. We will be looking for the two best images that catch the judges' eyes.
An individual may make up to three entries in the competition . Any additional after the first three will not be examined. Acknowledgements of receipt of entries will not be made, so please do not ask. Entries must be of still images. You must email a JPEG, sized to less than 1000 x 1000 pixels, but make sure the width is at least 650 pixels. Included in the email must be a short (less than 300 word) description of how you created the entry and what it is. Please include a brief artist's statement. Also include your full name, mailing address, phone number at that address (for courier delivery if you win), and email address. Please name your entry files with your initials and a sequence number and no special characters. Please also include a short description of how you made the image, including equipment and software.
Shortly after the end of the month a winner will be chosen from these shortlisted entries. All shortlisted entries and the winners will be displayed on the DIMi web site, with appropriate attribution, for at least 12 months after the competition closes, to serve as inspiration for other web site visitors. Judging will be performed by DIMi and no discussion will be entered into.
Email your entries to dogwaffle@dimagemaker.com
Your entry indicates your acceptance of both the general and above specific terms and conditions.
