These entries caught the judges' eyes for a number of reasons.

I took a picture of the Pag-ibig building with another picture of a sunset within the City of Cebu, which I also took. I thought it would make a nice collage and told my dad to help, and we added the trees in the foreground by copy/pasting from the main picture and adjusting color and brightness levels to suit the mood.My father layered them using Photoshop Elements Ver. 2.0. Since all raw materials are mine, I declare that I own the copyrights to this picture.

These images are both, originally, 24"x24" at 300dpi. Both are a collages that combine digital photography, scanned elements, and elements created in Photoshop CS and Corel Painter 9. All the elements were assembled & layered in Photoshop CS with additional brushwork, and blending done in Photoshop CS, with a Wacom pressure sensitive pen & tablet. Both pieces were designed as art posters.

This montage is composed of some of the many pictures I had taken in the past few years of Mardi Gras. They are from film and digital images. The tomb was taken in one of the New Orleans cemeteries. The beads were scanned on the flatbed. There are also misc. images from my files and digital images I capture as I need them. The picture was intended as an after Mardi Gras "Party's Over" image. After the storm I changed it to "Party Interruptus". The party is not over and New Orleans will not go away!
My images are assembled and manipulated in Photoshop.
