Macro photography is a great and wonderful area of photography. It offers excellent opportunities to practice lighting techniques, composition and various technical skills in the comfort of your own home or studio. While my own macro passion is the photography of my fossil, rock and crystal collection, I also enjoy insect photography and the use of macro techniques on various other subjects.
